Located at 2965 Ala Napuaʻa Place in the Salt Lake area of Honolulu, Kahaopili is a planned 27-story tower with 19 floors of residential units above 8 floors of parking. It will be a 100% affordable rental apartment project, with all rental units targeted at households earning no more than 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
The 19 residentials floors will contain 190 units and the 8 floors of parking will contain 227 parking stalls. Of the 190 units, 19 will be studios, 152 will be one-bedrooms, and 19 will be two-bedrooms. Each room will be provided with air conditioning units and operable windows to provide options for cooling to promote a comfortable environment. Units will be provided with large windows to maximize natural daylight and views to improve the quality of space.
Community facilities in the building will include a central laundry facility and recreational roof deck. The roof deck will provide 360-degree views of the surrounding community and a dramatic space for the building community to socialize. Amenities on the deck include BBQs, outdoor furniture, shade structures, and restrooms.
Kahoapili received its Chapter 201H entitlement approval from the Honolulu City Council on January 25th, 2023.
